The BFC Council held its March 2022 meeting via Zoom on Tuesday March 15th, from 7:30 to 9:30pm.

As many of you now, Zoom meetings have their pluses and minuses. We were happy at the outset of the meeting to agree that our next meeting will be held in person at the White House! And Pastor Justin offered to cook the entree!

We had a lot to talk about during this meeting. After our usual committee reports (each Council member also belongs to various BFC committees) we had our Pastor’s Update. Some of the highlights of Pastor Justin’s report were that the Care Ministry is developing well, our BFC investments plan with Vanguard has started, and we have a new Sunday School leadership “trinity” established. You’ll hear about all of these topics more soon.

Some of the other topics we discussed during our meeting were the budget for Up and Coming, the Young Adult Coordinator Role, and resuming a weekly Sunday Service.

We also talked about going back to the original timeline for nominating and voting for new Council members, as documented in our “Council Guidebook”. Due to the pandemic our timeline was delayed, but we will be going back to making nominations in March, and voting in April. This way new Council members can begin observing the Council in May, and participating in June. So you will soon see announcements asking you to nominate someone for the Council.

We encourage community members to observe Council meetings. Generally the Council holds its meetings on the third Tuesday of every month. Our next meeting will be held in person at the White House on April 19th, 2022, from 6 to 8pm. If you’d like to observe, just let us know at least a week before the meeting, by sending an email to council@belvederefamily.com.
